The instructions and rules contained in this document are based on the rules of Ski Cross. Ski Cross was accepted under the Alpine Canada umbrella in June 2010 and is structured as a discipline of the alpine.
DETAILS OF THE SERIES
The series is an “open” series with a goal of encouraging new participants to the sport who, subsequently, could join existing ski clubs to train and compete in ski cross. Athletes who are members of alpine ski clubs may be recruited to participate but also members of the general public will be sanctioned under Alpine Canada with a “One Event Waiver.” They must sign the waiver upon registration for the race.
The Western Canada SX series in 2015-16 will take place in BC and Alberta. Locations and dates will be posted on calendar.
