CLUB MENTOR/LEADER DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE
The Club Mentor/Leader Development Initiative is focused on increasing participation in ski racing by assisting clubs in the application of"Best Practices" within their programs. Club Mentor/Leader Training aims to assist clubs in the application of effective mentor training for entry level, and development level coaches and club volunteers to deliver the best possible programs to their members.
Alberta Alpine supports the ACA/CSCF mission of Competency Based Educational Training (CBET), and on the job coach mentoring.
Competency based education should be an essential component to all club programs, and on the job mentoring must be provided on a regular basis to ensure coach development.
Through effective on the job training a club can help coaches achieve their potential by providing them with one or more quality mentor/leaders, and allow them the opportunity to move through the CSCF education pathways, as well as qualify for ACA/CSCF coach licensing each season.
AASA is committed to helping clubs develop a structure that will help deliver key elements of Coach Education and Licensing from withinthe clubs existing structure.
CANADIAN SPORT FOR LIFE (CS4L) AND AIM 2 WIN INTEGRATION WORKSHOPS
CS4L and the Long Term Athlete Development model (LTAD) focuses on the specific framework for athlete development with special reference to growth, maturation and development, prime window of trainability, athletes with a disability and sport system alignment and integration.

Alberta Alpine is fully committed to providing information so that clubs and coaches can understand and implement the concepts and studies that are presented in the LTAD and AIM 2 Win documents, and develop programming that supports the structure to develop physical literacy in all of Alberta's ski racers.
