This may be the one and only time you get to run a KO SL for FIS points as the life of KO may be coming to an end. The folks at Banff Alpine are excited to run this format as it ties into the head to head spirit of the BOZO CUP and promises to be a great day of Slalom racing with just the right amount of friendly banter.
- Run 1: One regulation FIS SL for FIS points that also acts as the qualifier (top 30) for the next rounds. The next 3 rounds are KO format on a shortened SL courses and goes as follows.
- Run 2: Start order (30 then/vs 1, 29 then/vs 2, etc.) The winners of each heat move on plus 3 lucky losers with fastest times.
- Run 3: (18 vs 1, 17 vs 2, etc.) The winners from this heat move onto the final round
- Run 4: The winners (9 max) from round three then race the final round in reverse order
For the awards: Combined time of runs 3+4 determine your final results
It’s going to be a blast!
