The pre season training will be put to the test this weekend at Norquay for our first race. Physically, I feel well prepared. My mental game is a little bit off, but I still feel confident enough to go into this next race series with some decent goals for myself.

The training has been great recently. I’ve made strides in all disciplines but am still aware that there are many things I can improve upon. I’ve definitely become less afraid of downhill, and have started getting back on my feet in the tech events that I had been struggling with.

These next few races (Norquay-lake Louise-pano) will be a good time for me to test my mental focus, and start off the year with some new techniques that I’ve discussed with our team sports psych.

I’m confident that I’ll be able to get to where I want to be this season, and am excited to see what comes of this next month of racing before Christmas.
