Hello everyone!

Just checking in and updating everyone on what we have been up to the last few weeks in Switzerland! At the beginning of October the team left for our second on snow camp in Saas Fee. Most of us are now quite experienced in Saas Fee camps, so it’s easy to readjusted to the routine over here.

This camp has been a big push, we skied a lot of mileage. We mainly focused on GS but also had some SL and speed training in middle. It was especially exciting for me to get back in a Super G track, because of injury it had almost been year since I skied speed.  The race season is so busy that these preseason camps are the only significant training block we can get. By the time December comes around the team is in full race mode until spring.

There is couple invitees and AST alumni with us here, its always fun to have some new faces around. Although we were missing a couple team makes, both Liam and Keegan were with the Canadian team training just over from us in Austria. I know we all missed having them around! Also shout out to our team captain Sam!

Unfortunately by the end of the camp there was a growing injured/ sick crew, but everyone pushed through and ended the camp on a really good note. Heading home I think everyone is looking forward to a good week rest, then one more push in the gym before we can get on some Alberta snow!

We were lucky to have a camp with amazing conditions and a tight crew of both athletes and coaches! I’m beyond excited looking forward to this season, now I’m just praying the local mountain will open up quick!

Hope to see everyone out on the slopes soon enough!

Cheers,

Zoe
