Planning the Future of Excellence in Alberta

Have you ever wanted to tell the decision makers & implementers for ski racing and ski cross your ideas on how to enrich and enhance our sport?  Now is your chance!

Alberta Alpine is embarking on the creation of the future of ski racing & ski cross in our province through a strategic planning process. With your input, our intention is to have a new plan crafted for Alberta Alpine by spring 2018.

First step – we need to hear from you, the individuals out there enjoying this sport. You have ideas and input?  We want to hear them!!

  • November 5- South Zone Officials Update (Calgary), ACA Office
  • November 7 – South Zone Alpine Chairs Meeting (Calgary), WinSport
  • November 12- North Zone Officials Update (Edmonton), Snow Valley Club House
  • November 22 – North Zone Alpine Chairs Meeting (Edmonton), Percy Paige
  • November TBA – Club President and Chair’s Lunch-in, Calgary
  • December dates – Various Club Visits
  • December 16 – U16 Rabbit Hill Open

Why would Alberta Alpine be the one to create a strategic plan?


  • Alberta Alpine is responsible for the general conduct and administration of alpine skiing competition within the Alberta Division of the Canadian Snow Sports Association.
  • As a member of Alpine Canada Alpin, Alberta Alpine is the provincial sport governing body for alpine ski racing with 38 member clubs, providing programs for 4,800+ athletes, coaches, volunteers and officials of the sport throughout the province.
  • Alberta Alpine manages all the programs and events from introductory levels to masters including the athletes of the Alberta Ski Team.
