As dryland season is coming to an end, it’s time get back into the ski season. So I find myself currently in Austria skiing at Pitztal and Hintertux prepping for an early start to the NorAm season. I’ve been in Austria for 12 days now, skiing mainly GS and slalom on some rather challenging conditions. Steep and aggressive hills, as well as variable snow conditions make for tough but valuable training. I find that it’s hard to come across conditions like this during the season, so the fact that I can ski on it now is really beneficial, especially because there are always a few races a year similar to this kind of training.

There are 9 days remaining in my camp here and the weather/conditions are looking very promising so it will be great to get some quality training in before heading home. Once I get home I’ll most likely have some time off, followed by a few gym session, to get that final prep in before heading to Colorado to start the NorAm season.

I’m really looking forward to getting back into the start gate and working on improving from where I left off and making the most of another season.

Until next time.
