Hello Everyone!

Happy to be reporting in for my first Athlete Journal of the year!

The team is currently in full dryland mode. Our workout program is based out of Peak Power in Calgary, but there are a few of us using alternate   facilities throughout the rest of the province. I’ve been training at the Nordic Centre in Canmore with the rest of the Bow Valley crew. We have had trainers with us for the last month, which is new for us in Canmore & Banff. It’s been amazing to work with them – BIG shout out & thanks to Lindsey and Susie.

This year we have a bit of a change in our coaching staff. We have Thedy Brandli as our new Head Coach, along with JM Martel, Mike White and Jen Clarridge. I am super excited to be working with them this season! We also have a lot of new athletes coming up. It’s a slightly larger team then the past few years, but it’s going to be great having some young eager racers joining!

In the next few weeks the team has another big push in the gym, followed by a dryland camp at Shuswap Lake, in BC. I’m still in a bit of recovery mode, after my injury in December. I have a small surgery this week to get a few screws out of my leg, so I’m hoping to be 100% for the first on snow Sass-fee camp in early August!
