Alberta Ski Team alumni had a great day Wednesday in the NCAA Championship GS races in Steamboat Springs Co.
There were 3 AST Alumni in the men’s top 10, lead by Erik Read in 3rd, Sean Alexander in 6th and Rob Greig in 10th, all achieving “All American” recognition. Kevyn Read finished the day in 13th place, 11/100’s of a second away from a top ten. Curtis McKillop finished in 26th position.
34 men, including 11 European skiers, 14 American skiers and 9 Canadian skiers are competing in the finals.
Jocelyn McCarthy was the only former Alberta Ski Team woman competing and she earned a 30th place, coming off an injury.
The Alberta Ski Team with 6 alumni competing, shows the outstanding level of skiing developed within our province and the participation in the NCAA.
