Jeffery Read of the Banff Alpine Racers and a graduate of the Alberta Ski Team is off to Sochi, Russia as part of Canada’s FIS Alpine World Junior Championship Team. Last season, Jeffery was top U18 in the Super G and 2nd U18 in Alpine Combined at the WJC in Hafjell, Norway.

Calgary, Alta. (February 23, 2016) – Eight junior Canadian athletes are heading to Sochi, Russia for the annual World Junior Championships (WJC), providing athletes a unique opportunity to compete on a global stage. Selected athletes between the ages of 16 and 21 years of age will compete for Canada, providing an important milestone in their development for future World Cup and Olympic competition.
