In the interest of improving official education and consequent race quality, we would like to ensure adequate opportunity time-wise, to conduct at least one Level 3 officials course prior to the Competition season. The realistic window is somewhere from thanksgiving to the middle of November.

Mixed into that timeline is the FIS TD updates the last 2 weekends of October in Denver and Bromont respectively. Highly recommended if you are Nor-AM ROC or have never gone even as a level below FIS TD.

We have scheduled our Alberta Senior Officials ( level 3,4 & TD ) updates for the Nov. 7th Calgary & Nov. 8th Edmonton. A strong note that ALL current Level 2 and above must attend this at least every 2 years to remain current at the level you think you are.

Please poll your clubs and associates and have anyone who you feel is a level 3 candidate contact myself, Don Boyce, Doug Airey with their intent to candidacy as soon as possible. This course will take a full weekend of commitment. Just like a ski race!

We will at the same hope to compile a list of Level 2 Candidates and schedule one or more zone courses for those people.

If you are interested, please have a look at the prerequisites and course content at this link; http://www.alpinecanada.org/officials

Hope to hear from you soon,

Cheers,
